Arijit Singh – A voice that compels to listen

Started his career from being one of the top six contestants of a reality show Fame Gurukul, Arijit Singh, an Indian playback singer today is among the leading male voices that the Bollywood has. After the show, he worked as an assistant with various music directors and then started freelancing. Though he had been singing in Bollywood flicks since 2007, it was in 2013 when his talent got the much awaited and deserved fame. His song ‘Tum Hi Ho’ from Ashiqui 2 (a 2013 movie) was probably the one that fetched him great success. All you need to do is, just lend him your ears once and then you would forget everything else except his voice.

Shreya Ghoshal – Nothing is sweeter than her singing

She is one such singer who has been honored with an entire day in her name. Yes its true, Ohio, a state in the United States celebrates 26 June as ‘The Sherya Ghoshal Day’. It was Governor Ted Strickland, who declared this. This is quite sufficient to portray the impact of Shreya Ghoshal’s singing (an Indian playback singer) on the globe. This lovely lady is blessed one of the sweetest voices, with which she not only sings beautiful and soothing romantic tracks, but also peppy numbers. Once you play any of her songs, you would not be able to resist yourself from adoring her.

Amit Trivedi – The man with an innovative musical wand

Creating music is a creative job and Amit Trivedi is genuinely a creative person. He composed exceptional music in the movie Dev D (2009) and won the National Award for Best Music Director. Though it was not his first film in which he did magic with the musical notes, but certainly was is the first work that gifted him appreciation and fame. Since then, there was no looking back. In 2013 his compositions made everyone his fan. Be it ‘SawaarLoon’ from ‘Lootera’ or ‘Bachchan’ from ‘Bombay Talkies’, he knew how to play with music.

Sunidhi Chauhan – Even a woman can have a strong voice

Honored with the R. D. Burman Award for Most Promising Newcomer in 2001, Sunidi Chauhan is one of the most versatile singers that the Indian music industry has. There is some sort of power in her voice that gets a hold over the audience. Her voice is flawless and her style is exceptional. Perhaps, that is why music directors never have a problem in pairing her with any male singer. She knows what a song demands and molds herself accordingly. Be it a romantic song like ‘Te Ammo’ from ‘Dum Maro Dum’ or a sizzling number like ‘Bubbly Badmaash’ from ‘Shootout at Wadala’, listeners loved her singing in all sorts of tracks.
