Diddy’s Making the Band 3, first season finalist, Natasha nom de code: NIKITA gains millions of fans on her quest to mainstream stardom! Just a few years ago at the venturous age of 18, Natasha decided to take a chance at furthering her career by moving from her small native Texas town to the East Coast! New York, NY “Big City of Dreams,” no doubt her first choice being influenced by mainstream artists such as Mary J. Blige, Lauryn Hill, Nas, The Notorious BIG, and Jay-Z. Natasha settled in East Orange, NJ, where she got a taste of the inner city street life. Moving to the East Coast was a major culture shock and a huge transition for her, but she adapted quickly. Seizing the opportunity for a big break, she auditioned for Diddy’s Making The Band 3, and was selected to compete in the finals. Although she did not make the band, Natasha was able to network her way into signing with the prominent independent label She Records. Her first recording was “So In Love,” which became an instant hit among major label execs and A&R’s! But it wasn’t until Natasha recorded a rap free-style they caught wind of this alter ego La Femme NIKITA. After successfully recording a number of songs in the studio, both She Records and Natasha decided to call on her alter ego La Femme NIKITA to release a Hip Hop/Rap album, with Natasha Walton following closely behind her with an R&B release.

In June, 2006 She Records’ released La Femme NIKITA’s first single and music video “Ain’t Nuthin”. When asked about Hip-Hop today she says I love the fact that artist such as myself, with a huge fan base have the option of being independent. I pocketed 90% of the return off my download sales, a little over $40,000 to date. She quickly created a national buzz selling worldwide attracting major label attention!

Recently, NIKITA has been featured in the first issue of the Underwire Interactive Magazine, that sold well over 500,000 units, WHO?MAG TV & DVD Magazine, and Worldwide Westside Magazine. WHO?MAG TV airs twice a week prime time on COOLTV, which is based out of the UK. The show airs in over 40 countries and reaches over 120 million households! WHO?MAG DVD, is distributed nation wide via Suncoast, Best Buy, Sam Goody, Block Buster, and Net Flix. Her feature in WWS Magazine garnered such a huge response, she was asked to do the cover for the first issue of their Indie Edition! You can also hear Nikita spittin’ fire on DJ Fathom’s mixtape “Da Sneak Attack”, the cut “That’s My Boy” by Capitol Records’ recording artist Bossaliny, produced by Don Vito (“Do it To it” by Cherish & “Good Luck Charm” by Jagged Edge) off Bossaliny’s forthcoming album “Bossaliny for President”, and also along side Ma Barker, and Hedonis da Amazon, on the remix to Santalina’s “Shake”. La Femme NIKITA’s fan base more than doubled when her music video for Ain’t Nuthin’ premiered on BET.com’s Ya’ Heard videos. The success of her music video gained her an article in Vol.2, Issue 12 of Hip Hop Weekly with Lil’ Wayne on the cover, a full page tribute in the popular urban publication, Rap Fanatic Magazine, with 50 Cent & Boyz N’ Da Hood on the cover, and a front page position on Billboard.com as a featured artist! The new favorite female emcee is definitely on her grind! Remember her name, you won’t forget her face!
