PPC stands for Pay Per Click.

PPC is one of the best ways to get your web site in front of thousands of eyeballs fast. You can literally be on the first page of Google within a matter of minutes.

The definition of PCC is: Ads you place for your web site with a search engine, such as Google, Yahoo or Bing(MSN).

To use PPC you enter a bid amount that you are willing to pay per click by your potential customers. This amount can range from a few cents to many dollars. This would depend on the competition for the product you are promoting. The higher you bid, the higher your ad will appear in the search engine results.

The three big players that offer PPC are Google, Yahoo and Bing. Each one has their own form of PPC advertising. As of this writing Yahoo and Bing have merged to create larger organization to compete with Google.

Google calls it Google AdWords, Yahoo is Search Marketing and Bing is Microsoft AdCenter. There are other web sites that offer PPC but these big 3 currently dominate the PPC marketing arena.

There are hundreds of ebooks on the internet that will claim to make you rich over night with PPC marketing.
