I am going to share with you some article writing tips that will help turn your great articles into fantastic articles. Many people write great content with great catchy titles but its they are missing a trick when it comes to getting their content ranked.

By making some minor changes to their title and also adding a few sub titles they will see that their articles will perform much better and will rank much higher.

Not only are you writing an article or post for someone to read but you are also writing it for Google. These article writing tips will help you with ranking on Google and I am going to share 3 of them with you today.

By the end of the article you will understand how to write out your title, add sub headings and make your URL more search engine friendly. So let’s look at the 3 different components and describe each one.

  • Post URL
  • Title
  • Tags

Post URL – With an article directory there is not much you can do about this, however make sure your keywords are in the title so they are picked up when the URL is generated. With you blog you should setup your permalink so that only the keywords show after your main blog URL. This can be set under your “Settings” and click “Permalinks”, and then just add this code where it says “Custom Structure” /%postname%/ This will enable you to custom your blog URL so that only the keyword appear.

Title – Your Keywords should be the first words on your title, Google reads left to right the same as us and puts more importance on words at the start of the title rather the middle or end. For example:

Notice that “Article Marketing Strategy” is my keyword so I have put it at the start of the title so that Google give those word more value. This should be done for blog posts and articles.

Tags – You should use H1, H2 and H3 tags within your posts, Google will give more value to H1 than H3 but they are all well worth adding to your post and different places. The same rule applies to H tags as titles, put your keywords first in the text.

Tags also help break up a post so that it is more pleasing on the eye and your reader will not be turned off by a mass of words. They are also great to use as sub heading which will help draw the eye to important information you are trying to get across.
